OC AC 5X (50/51)
We are proud to introduce our new line of Oil Cooled AC motors that are now available.
With the introduction of oil cooling and with the assistance of an external oil pump and an heat exchanger to cool the oil, the continuous horsepower and torque from this motor will be higher than our standard steel frame motor line.
This motor has been designed with the marine industry in mind, but it can be adapted to any other mode of transportation. The motor includes a stainless steel frame with the shaft of the rotor being made of stainless steel too. With anodized aluminum end bells and junction boxes, the motor can stand up to a salt environment.
The motor is the same 8" diameter as the standard steel frame AC-5X motors but now with the use of a junction box, the total height is a little over 11".
The motor is totally sealed which allows for the oil to cool all the internal surfaces of the motor.
Please keep in mind that this new oil cooled design was made with the marine industry in mind. On a marine vessel there is a constant flow of cool lake/ocean water that is supplied to the heat exchanger to cool the oil effectively. If these new systems are installed in anything other than marine, performance results may vary based on how cool the oil is returning to the motor.
The weight of the AC 50 and AC 51 oil cooled motors are 120 pounds/54.4 Kg.
